Stan "The Man" Lee
Comic books have been very popular all over the world since the early 1900’s. Thousands of comic books and stories have been written and published all over the world. One of the most influential and inspirational comic book writers of all time is Stan Lee. He specifically excelled in the area of super hero comics. He is easily deemed the greatest comic book writer of all time by critics and readers. Some of Lee’s most prominent works have made impacts all around the world. His most well known creations are The Avengers, The Incredible Hulk, Ironman, The Fantastic Four, Xmen, and Spiderman. Lee has also had success outside of comics. He has created multiple TV shows and movies based on his comics. He has done everything from writing, directing, acting, and much more.
Lee's career took off after he landed a job with the famed MARVEL COMICS. While working for them, Lee has created and co created 354 super heros and villains. Lee paved the way for super hero comics with Marvel. Up until Lee started working at Marvel, competetor comic book company DC had been domininating super hero comics with super heros like Superman.
Lee also had a major impact for Marvel in both TV and movie industries. Many of Lee's super heros have been featured both in the past and more recently. Numerous TV shows have been created after Lee's heros. More recently there have been multiple block buster hits from Lee's creations, such as the Ironman, Ironman 2, The Incredible Hulk, Captian America: The First Avenger, Thor, Spiderman, the Xmen Series, Fantastic 4, Fantasic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and The Avengers. Lee helped direct and produce all of those movies, and also would have small stand in roles in the movies.
Lee has become a true trail blazer for his industry. Writing comics and being sucsessful is hard enough, but to also make an empire out of it is even harder. Lee is truly unique and inspiring to many upcoming writers. He is an inspiration to us all.
